About the Role:
iTech AG is looking for a highly motivated UX Designer to join our innovative team of technical professionals. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of designing web portals for our federal customer’s Technology, Innovations, and Partnerships program. You will work on exciting, high-impact projects, leveraging your expertise to create user-centered designs that drive meaningful results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research & Requirements Gathering:
- Document user requirements and review data from quantitative and qualitative metrics, surveys, and other relevant artifacts.
- Identify user and stakeholder groups, conduct discovery sessions and interviews, and synthesize findings into actionable insights.
- Wireframe & Prototyping:
- Develop and validate 15-20 key wireframes with users and stakeholders.
- Use Figma (or comparable tools) to create wireframes and prototypes, ensuring alignment with user needs and project goals.
- Style Guide & Design System Development:
- Review current style guides and brand guidelines, analyzing UX/UI best practices in existing applications.
- Leverage existing branding to create a digital product style guide for streamlined development, especially for ServiceNow implementations.
- Collaboration & Review:
- Present style guides, wireframes, and research findings to clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and excellence in design delivery.
- Long-Term Strategy & Handoff:
- Plan for the future UX roadmap and establish a long-term strategy for user experience across products.
- Provide design artifacts and documentations for a seamless handoff to development teams.
- General Contributions:
- Ensure adherence to UCD (User-Centered Design) methodologies.
- Perform additional duties as required to support project success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in designing mobile and web applications.
- Proven track record of designing and managing complex systems that span multiple products.
- Proficiency in Figma, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop (or equivalent tools).
- Skills:
- Strong interaction and visual design expertise.
- Knowledge of user interface patterns and UCD best practices.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills (written, verbal, and visual).
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a highly demanding, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
- Industry-recognized design certifications are a plus.
- Specialized Experience:
- Design experience for large-scale enterprise-level cloud solutions.
- Expertise in enterprise reporting tools and strategic perspectives.
- Consulting experience and familiarity with federal government processes.
- Clearance:
- Prior US Federal Government security clearance is an advantage.
Security Clearance:
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust.
- US Citizenship is required, pursuant to a federal government contract.
