UX/UI Designer at Adage Technologies

Contract

Description

Job Opportunity: UX/UI Designer
Location: Anywhere in USA
Type: Contractor. Candidates must be authorized to work in US without visa sponsorship.
Experience Level: Mid-Level 2–5 years
Salary range: $65-$100 US dollars per hour

About the Role:
Our designers are obsessed with end users. They seamlessly transition between small optimization projects and larger site redesigns—auditing conversion flows for better outcomes in the morning and wireframing components in the afternoon. Working across Adage’s diverse portfolio, they dive deep into their projects while independently collaborating with internal teams and clients to craft thoughtful, user-first experiences for all clients.

Key Responsibilities:
Craft Exceptional Designs

  • Design websites that highlight expertise in layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
  • Use Figma to create detailed user flows, animations, transitions, and advanced prototypes.
  • Prioritize inclusivity, ensuring all designs meet WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Independently develop artifacts like information architectures, user journeys, and site maps.

Lead Discovery Efforts

  • Manage small-scale discovery projects, from preparation and facilitation to concept creation.
  • Collaborate on larger discoveries, contributing to workshops, interviews, and ideation.
  • Advocate for users by designing solutions that solve real problems and elevate experiences.

Collaborate with Confidence

  • Present ideas clearly and persuasively to clients and internal teams, connecting design choices to project goals.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams, balancing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Foster a culture of curiosity, learning, and collaboration, inviting others to contribute.

Deliver Measurable Impact

  • Participate in retrospectives to evaluate the success and impact of delivered work.
  • Ensure design integrity through active engagement in Design QA.
  • Share expertise through team critiques, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing.
  • Contribute to team rituals, including standups, planning sessions, and design critiques

What We're Looking For:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, multimedia design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience: 2–5 years of professional experience in UX/UI design or a related field.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Figma, with experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs from scratch. Strong understanding of UX principles and their application to create engaging user experiences. Solid grasp of visual design principles and their role in shaping client projects.
Softskills: Able to effectively communicate with clients, strong interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and empowering others to engage in design processes, self-driven and organized, curious, adaptable, and open to learning.
Portfolio: A showcase of mid-level design projects that demonstrate problem-solving and user-centered design.
