OneSeven Tech (OST) is seeking software professionals on a contract basis to join our team as Full-Stack Application Developers in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

About you

You are someone who loves keeping up with modern tools, loves moving fast, building cool things, and is ready to take on any challenge. You love being part of a team and you use collaboration, transparency, and proactive communications as the pathways to conduct your work, always staying focused on customer requirements and timeframes. You are a student and practitioner of multiple Agile methodologies (such as Scrum, Extreme Programming, and Lean) which you use with professional discipline, always working iteratively and delivering incrementally. You write code using TDD methods (Test Driven Development) and with automated Unit Tests you never compromise the quality of the software that you develop. You are a Full-Stack Application Developer who has already adopted modern AI tools to become faster and more efficient. You love working on a mix of Web and Mobile applications and you are proficient in architectures that use API frameworks. Starting with CI/CD pipelines, you are obsessive about automation to increase your feedback from changes and the speed of delivery to your customer. And above all, you are focused on finding the simplest solutions to every problem rather than overly relying on technology.

The role

As a Full-Stack Application Developer, you'll play a crucial role in our client's product development. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining Web and mobile applications, setting up CI/CD pipelines, and automating the management of Cloud infrastructure. Regularly updating/improving documentation and adhering to OST software development guidelines for toolsets, pull requests, branch naming conventions, and tracking your time will be expected of you.

This is a contract position (with the possibility of a full time hire transition for successful engagements).

Onboarding

Your ability to frequently work from the OST office in Buenos Aires will be considered a positive. Onboarding will be conducted by video call. We expect a quick onboarding process, enabling you to contribute to projects swiftly after starting.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience working as a Full-Stack Application Developer.
• Intermediate English level (required), strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work 9am -5pm EST, and provide for your own workspace with reliable Internet service.
• Experience with multiple Agile Methodologies, processes, and methods for software development.
• Passionate about the startup company environment and always eager to learn.
• Team player, willing to jump outside your role when necessary to improve the capabilities of the larger team. You are Ok to work a late night or a weekend, if necessary to keep a project on track.
• Ability to research as you work, identifying the simplest solutions before applying new technologies to problems.

Technical Requirements

• Programming experience working with a modern frontend frameworks like React Native and NextJS for browser based and mobile applications.
• Experience with component UI libraries such as Material UI, Bootstrap, and Tailwind.
• Familiarity with Figma and ability to mockup a simple UI when needed.
• Knowledge of modern authentication and authorization mechanisms, such as JWT (JSON Web Token) and Amazon Cognito.
• Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Apple Swift, Python, Ruby, and other programming languages. Experience with object oriented, functional, and procedural programming styles.
• GIT, GitHub, and GitHub Actions experience. Experience building automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with Linux OS (and Microsoft Windows).
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and other relational database management systems with proficiency in SQL.
• Must have AWS experience, experience with serverless application architectures, ability to write Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, and packaging applications using Docker.
• Knowledge of Web security best practices.

• Hybrid position in Buenos Aires or Miami (optionally remote).

• Starting at $4,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
