Role Overview
The Senior Graphic Designer will lead the creation and implementation of Kiddom's Content Design System for both print and digital curriculum products. Collaborating closely with the Curriculum and Design teams, the designer will ensure that all visual materials enhance usability, meet educational objectives, and maintain brand consistency. Reporting to the Head of Design, this role blends creative leadership with strategic collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development:
- Create digital and print materials, including illustrations, interactive graphics, and learning resources.
- Develop and oversee a cohesive Content Design System that aligns with Kiddom's educational goals and branding.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with Curriculum and Design teams to ensure visuals align with educational objectives.
- Partner with Marketing and Platform teams to maintain brand identity across all products.
- UI/UX Design:
- Design mockups, icons, and graphics optimized for digital learning platforms.
- Incorporate feedback from educators and students to enhance user engagement.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple design projects to meet deadlines and ensure deliverables align with specifications.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Refine designs based on stakeholder feedback and evolving educational needs.
- Stay informed about accessibility standards and best practices for educational content.
What We’re Looking For
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Familiarity with UI/UX tools like Sketch and Figma.
- Experience in K-12 education content or EdTech platforms is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory, especially for young audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS basics (preferred).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards for educational content (preferred).
- Mindset:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project management.
